What it boils down to is admin are hush hush even when it directly has to do with our safety, they turn a blind eye for our calls for support, they black ball us if we report incidents that involve safety, and they get promoted and job security from playing the game that makes everyone less safe and secure. I will not return to a profession that has contempt for safety reporting

Don't be stupid. You can't blame the pandemic for teens discharging a gun at a local park, or bringing a BB gun into school, or calling in a bomb threat. That's a blend of stupidity and knowing the consequences won't be severe. Another Principal would have made consequences severe enough to put other would be idiots on notice.

FYI - if in 2025, you can excusing someone due to the pandemic, you lose ALL credibility.

Mooney is not an effective leader for the school. That's clear.

This teacher's devotion to defending the principal is concerning. It suggests his loyalties lie with leadership rather than students or staff.

So who will Taylor hire to take over for Moran? If people here are suggesting for Mooney to leave as Principal to get a better fitting position within MCPS (if he even wants it), how about Taylor hire Mooney for that role.
