I am the same weight i was in HS (120) but have been everywhere between 88 and 155 since then. I've been back at 115 to 120 for the last 5 years (I'm 52).

It's not hard to maintain because I finally have a good relationship with food and exercise consistently. I don't think I've ever skipped a meal or forgotten to eat.

Yeah I am. 5”’4, 110. I went up to 120ish in college and obviously much higher during pregnancies.

I don’t exercise regularly in a gym but I like being somewhat active and walk a lot. No dieting and I eat what I crave. I don’t mindlessly eat and tend to forget to eat when I’m stressed/busy rather than snack and overeat.

I suppose I might get back to that weight if I starved myself but it’s not worth it to me. I’d have a better chance of getting into vanity size 2 by toning up and being extremely careful with my diet.

+1
But I do wear size 2 in vanity size, so my "size" is the same. Really size 2 today was size 6 in the 90s. I'm up to 125 now in my late 40s from 112. I'm ok with that. Who wants to look frail. I think "skinny" looks bad (frail) on middle aged women.

This thread is wild, I wasn't even done with puberty in high school. I got a decent bust line in my 20s. Not interested in being my high school weight again!

I weighed 112 pounds in high school but hadn’t finished developing. Have weighed 124 my entire adult life, BMI 18, without trying. I do have healthy tastes and skip meals a lot out of busyness.

I’m 47 and about 25 lbs lighter than I was in high school. I used to diet all the time and then go crazy and gain it all back and then some. Once I stopped dieting, I started losing weight effortlessly. I run a lot, but I eat whatever I want and stay slim without having to think about it.

Used to weigh 125lbs in school and I’m probably 132 at 50 yo and perimenopausal. I’m 5’5”. I run every other day and just started weight training so I guess I work at it but I do eat pretty much whatever I want. I’m lucky because I generally dislike processed foods so it’s easy for me to eat healthy. Hope the next few years don’t mess up my track record.

No, not necessarily but your height could have changed and you could’ve gone from obese to not obese for instance but maintain the same weight.

I'm probably similar to HS weight and it is a conscious decision, trying to eat healthy foods and exercise.

A little bit of genetics and a little bit of work. I truly like working out. I honestly enjoy it. I also really like to eat. I’m a fairly small person 5’2” and about 120 lbs. my mom is small and always has been. She’s barely 100 lbs in her 80s.

I’m generally the same size give or take 5 lbs I’m now 52 and it’s getting harder to eat everything like I used to without feeling a bit puffy. When that happens I work out a bit more and cut back a bit on the snacks.

Anonymous wrote:I weigh the same, which is a good weight for a 40+ year old woman with three kids, but wasn't considered a great weight for a teen in the 90s. All my friends who were really skinny in HS are now heavier than me. I think I've just been more aware of my weight my whole life, so I didn't have to make a major adjustment. Hardest adjustment to eating less was when I stopped breastfeeding.

+1, I could write almost the same thing, except I am 50+. I am about size M, 28 in jeans - this was chubby in HS, and I am among the skinnier ones now. I do watch what I eat, but I could never eat all I wanted anyway.

Doesn’t it matter what your HS weight was?

Anonymous wrote:I am within a 5 lb window of my high school weight. I can no longer eat whatever I want all day long, but I don't really work very hard at maintaining my weight. The only thing I really do is skip the occasional breakfast if I feel my waist expanding. That's the biggest change -- I've gotten larger in the middle as my weight seems to have redistributed itself around my body.

Very similar here. If I got 5 lbs up, I’ll skip breakfast and/or dessert until I’m back in range. I have to do this fairly often. But I’m terrible at losing real amounts of weight so I don’t want it to get away from me.

I freely admit it’s mostly genetics. I have thin parents.

I'm 49 and I didn't work hard at it until last year. Then I gained 5-7 pounds almost overnight. Damn hormones. I worked my ass off to get it off but it's now really, really hard to keep it off. I'm short and a few pounds makes me feel very uncomfortable. I needed to go up in a pant size because my weight is now around my middle.

5’4’, not,athletic

125ish in hs.
Up to 140 at one point in 20s, got back down to127
Around low 130s before and after pregnancy
Goal was always to stay under 140 in 30-40s and did so.
From 45-50, have gradually gained 1-3 pounds amyear.
Am 51 and am now 151. Have been for about 2 years. I would have to eat like 1400 calories,or less a day to go below. Not fun.

I would have to starve myself to get below 130 like in high school. Even under 140would be hard.
