Yes, I've known people who had this but they were super wealthy and employed someone full time. This kind of thing isn't available for a couple hundred a week.

I worked in catering/food service and absolutely no way would anyone who actually cooked agree to this.

I pay both my housekeeper and my meal prep chef $165 every time they come.. the housekeeper comes for 1.5 hours every other week and the chef comes once/week and makes 3-4 meals for my family of four, but I buy the groceries. I hope this helps set your expectations for what these services may cost.

We have plenty, and if there was a way to connect emplpyers with willing workers then I don't think there would be an issue besides the fact that it's illegal.

Think of it this way OP. A housecleaning group would likely charge you at least $150 to bring two ladies for two hours or so. Now, I do think if you searched hard enough you could find a housecleaning group willing to come twice a week (so $300/week) but instead of fully cleaning the house both times they could split the cleaning duties between both days in order to add in some meal prep time for you. Again, you will need to look hard to find someone amenable and you’d need to leave them ingredients and what you want done, but I think it’s your best bet.

That would be difficult enough all on one day. To spread it out like that, possibly including travel time, and also unclear job responsibilities is asking a lot. If the important part is the food, why not try for just a chef — who will make meals for several days? Plus someone different or a cleaning service to do regular cleaning?

Are you expecting this person to do shopping too? Will you do the shopping that they request? Were you thinking that they would just randomly cook whatever you happen to have? It sounds like you might want what used to be called a “mother’s helper”?
