My 17 year old still doesn’t have to. No facial hair- he’s still growing lol

19-year old can do it once a week or more.

My sons started at 12 and 13.

Same!! My 14 year olds wispy whiskers looked weird so we told him to shave. He shaved once and hasn’t had to again for a few months.

Your dh can make decisions about his own body. This isn’t a tattoo.

My Asian son grabbed my husband’s old electric razor that he no longer uses when he was 10-11 yrs old and started getting dark hair above his lip. It took 3 seconds to do and only needs to be done once a month. So NOT a big deal.

It's your son's face. If he wants to shave, you help him shave.

My son looked like he'd chugged chocolate milk and not wiped his face. So he started at 13.

I have a relatively heavy beard. I started to get a mustache in 7th grade and shaved just that part of my face. Expanded to other parts of my face. Let this kid shave where he wants to as he feels it’s needed. To me last thing you want if his feeling self-conscious or starting to look scruffy.
What is the father here concerned about? Let the son take the lead here. His instinct to shave is good, not bad.

As soon as I say I I ordered an electric shaver. Let him shave.
