Some of the posters on this thread are jerking off while playing RISK. Oh yes, we in Canada want to be subsumed to be a part of your empire. Same for Greenland, Panama, etc… You will have to kill people — and allies — to make that happen.

Yes, that’s the playbook, but it’s more likely that Russia gets Ukraine and China gets Taiwan than it is that the US gets Canada and Greenland.

This is the Great Powers theory pushed by Russia and China, as opposed to the Liberal Globalism perspective previously pushed by the West. Look it up.

This is so idiotic. All three countries previously had overwhelming, voluntary, market-driven control over the desired regions.

Now, the three big countries have pushed the smaller regions out of their orbit for at least a century by being selfish, violent creeps.

The big countries will face endless sabotage and passive resistance from the smaller target regions. If the big countries respond with genocide, they’ll wipe out much of the value of the target regions

This will make the violent seizures much less profitable than simply going with the economic flow would have been.
