From what I gather, VDA had 1 trapped player and 1 2011 that has been playing up so she's part of the 2010 team played this past weekend against Arlington 2011. Both of them are great players and key players for their 2010 team. Arlington had 2 trapped players that not at the same caliber as these 2. Rumor also that one of Arl key players was injured and didn't play and their coach wasn't there. Sound like a bunch of excuses but VDA 2010 players (trapped or play up) created 2 goals for them with the 3-1 win and helped holding their defense. Arl beat VDA in the fall without any trapped or played up player 6-0.
VDA won with these 2 players while Arlington lost with a couple of issues. Both teams have different issues. 2011 needs to be able to compete without their 2010 players helping them to the playoffs or they would not do well once they get there. Arl missing 1 player should still be able to hold their own in the competition if they are aiming to make the final and advance. These are just exposing the weaknesses of both teams that they need to work on. No dog in the fight as my kid's team won't make the playoffs but hoping NoVa teams do well there.

If 2 players added to the opponent's team folded this team, they weren't that strong to begin with. The local competition is non existent across all age groups and beating NVA is not an exceptional accomplishment.
