Thanks for bringing this up, PP! Here's that news...

Trump Nominee Appeared 150 Times on Russian TV
Ed Martin, President Trump’s interim U.S. attorney for D.C. and his pick to serve full time in the role, appeared more than 150 times on RT and Sputnik — networks funded and directed by the Russian government — as a guest commentator from August 2016 to April 2024, the Washington Post reports.

DC US attorney pick Ed Martin wet on Russia state media over 100 times
Nominee Ed Martin did not initially disclose his RT and Sputnik appearances from 2016 to 2024 to the Senate. The State Department has said the networks act like arms of Russian intelligence.

How is the news that Ed Martin is likely a paid Russia agent not bigger a bigger headline?

Sounds like a good practice to me. If they buy into the DEI nonsense they would be useless in the workplace.

Didn't Tiffany Trump go to Georgetown for her law degree?

Yep, useless.

Big whoop Georgetown grads won't get hired for the next few years. Everyone knows that lawyers make more in the private sector than with the government. Also, impending grads used to salivate at the thought of a scoring a government job. Now? Not so much. The MAGA admin can have their MAGA hires and be happy.

Unfortunately, I don't think we can't assume Trump will be president for only this term, I think he is going to find a way to run again in 2028.

All the more reason that Georgetown needed to push back. And I agree with others that it was a fantastic letter!!! Made my heart happy to see a reasonable push back that will be harder for conservatives to dismiss.

I understand your mindset of "big whoop, just a few jobs" but I think the threat in that letter was and is MUCH more than a few jobs.

And, G-Town may have a big bullseye on it now--they have run the risk of being targeted by the administration, but I am so glad they stood up to the bullying. Someone has to try.

Like the old saying:

"The students are here for four years, the Faculty for a lifetime, but Harvard is forever."

Spoken like someone who does not have the intelligence and work ethic to get into GU Law.

Let me guess, you are uneducated, low IQ, and make a measly 50k annually? Guess what, GU Law students make almost 200k after graduation (180k median). Way more money at the start of career than you are worth or will ever be able to make even at 65.

Dangerous game. Many wealthy people are maga trolls.

Seeing some of the letter that he has sent, literally read lime something a 5th grader would write.

Threatening GU, lol he lacks the intelligence to get in to, and then stay in, at GU.

I despise Martin, but why didn't you just use the r-word? Your slur is repugnant.

Report trolls, don't white them.

Repeatedly incorporating 'interim' in fully addressing Ed Martin (three total times in the letter).

Calling out the discrepancy between the letter date and actual email of letter date.

Spelling out diversity, equity, and inclusion rather than abbreviating it

Incorporating those above principles in the school's first amendment rights for freedom of speech

And further incorporating those principles in the school's first amendment rights for freedom of religion, as a religious institution.

It is a work of art.

Agree. Beautiful.

I agree. The "are you threatening religious discrimination?" threat is perfectly woven into his response.

I took a class with Treanor once. I don't agree with him on everything, but he is brilliant.

A law school ranked 94th is just pathetic. Any graduate should be considered borderline special-needs, even if they manage to somehow pass the bar.
