I don't get why most religious people are only interested in imposing their religiosity on others than practice it themselves. To be fair, most atheists aren't any different.

They usually are, because higher education and wealth, which DCUM attracts, generally tracks with reduced piety. Therefore this is statistically unsurprising. The majority of us did grow up with church/temple/synagogue/mosque affiliations, and even if a lot of us do not practice anymore, our core values are deeply influenced by the religion(s) we grew up with.

It doesn't mean we can't have respectful conversations

I think an apt comparison would be atheists knocking on random doors for the purpose of converting people to atheism which you never see.

Religious people frequently seem to think that atheists are "searching" - presumably for religion. In fact, many atheists went through a period of searching before arriving at non-belief in religion.

OP I assume you are being intentionally provocative and trolling. I also assume you know that atheism is a position on religion and this is a religion forum, so it would be unusual to post an atheist position in any other type of forum.

You don't need to believe to LIKE various religions. How can you not understand this? The mechanisms of faith are fascinating and religions are often discussed by non-believer scholars in terms of their social, economic and political impacts.

This forum is not a "safe place" where you can complain about people who don't think or believe like you.
This is a place where belief, and non-belief, can be legitimately challenged.
