Oversaturation lowers team strength. Look at Bethesda, they have no club competition up there so their teams are at an advantage frim players not having 4 other clubs to try and get on higher teams from. The top teams are the top players there. Are they better coached and more talented? Absolutely not. But they don't have the local talent spread across a bunch of clubs all 10 miles from each other so Nationally they look better and more talented.

Clubs don't develop the players. More "elite" clubs isn't the path to fix soccer in this area. All it succeeds in doing is fulfilling the egos of crazy parents while also filling the pockets of club coaches/administration.
