Everyone knows that Spring teams at every level don’t matter and are even more of a money grab than regular season travel teams. It’s just part of the system and it’s no different at CHA than EVERY other Spring program in the DMV or ( my guess is) the rest of the country. Most serious travel players take a break during the Spring and know better than to waste their money on a Spring tournament team. That means the tournament teams are made up of other players who likely can’t make the regular season team. I don’t know why you are surprised or bitter about this. Sounds like you have a lot of educating to do about how Spring hockey works. CHA is no different. AA programs are not competitive enough in this area to justify hiring professional coaches. It is what it is.
“Most serious travel players take a break . . . “ What decade are you living in Dad? Team Maryland has been promising a spring team for years as hockey has been a year round sport for “serious” players since I played.
Wait — is this one of the dad coaches from CHA? So you had two players go through the CHA program except for the one who is now in their fifth year of AAA Hockey. So how many years were you in the CHA program, o wise one?
