I agree that none of these are "cute" but rather than just throw shade, why not post an example of a cute sandal that would be great to do a lot of walking around in as a tourist?
Sure, you'd look like less of a tourist in these

But truly, I would wear trainers. Your feet get disgusting in any city if you wear open toed shoes.
With most of those they wouldn't just be disgusting, they'd be bruised and bloodied.
What's with all the wedge love for cities with uneven rocky streets?

OP here. I intentionally didn't post on the Fashion board because I wasn't looking at fashion advice per se. I know I am not stylish and have accepted that. Comfort is still my number one goal. I've tried a number of brands of the "court" style sneakers like Adidas and Puma, Veja, etc. and the stiff upper is not comfortable to me. I like a roomy, stretchy toe box in a closed shoe.

I've looked online at a bunch of Sketchers options. Maybe something like this? Looking to spend less than $100 as I don't know how much I will wear them apart from traveling.
Why do you care about looking like an outsider? You ARE an outsider. You are a tourist and will look like one. Why do you care if someone notices? It isn’t like you will blend in any case…
