If you want resort-y the Ritz is great or for a cute little downtown that is immediately adjacent to the beach and green space, the Inn on 5th. They drive you down to the beach and set you up, then come pick you back up, so still a nice experience.
I came to say Ritz Naples as well. We loved it there. So easy to fly into Sarasota, rented a car through Turo so it was waiting for us at the airport, loved the beach and water park (you get access to 2 Ritz properties), loved 5th ave. Would šÆ do it again on a long weekend.
