I thought the Ala in Bethesda was good. Also feel like a tri colore salad and trout piccata at Caruso is a perfectly healthy meal. Also the OP did not say anyone in her family needed any health-related dietary accommodations. It’s one thing to bend over backwards for vegans or gluten free folks in your own family, it’s quite another to invent them for the OP to accommodate.

The rankings must be based on the main DC location. The one at Pike and Rose was fine when it first opened and then the head people went home to DC after the training period. Same thing happened to the Dupont restaurant who opened a second location Ala in Bethesda. And that awful Fogo restaurant, probably the same although why anyone would want all you can eat walk about meat and buffets is beyond me after COVID and during the flu season. We were there the other night. Spicy food had no seasoning and was not spicy. The pasta was over cooked, and service was bad. It was also strange as they were half full turning people away. No parm. for the pasta either. We didn't get our drinks till mid-meal. Had lots of staff but few servers.
Rankings are just that. It used to be much better but its very inconsistent now.
