How do you know they’re foreigners?

I’ve cut all discretionary spending, and neither my job or my spouse’s relies on federal spending. But I feel anxious about the economy and worried that my kids (currently in college) may face employment challenges, so I’m shoring up as much as possible.

I was out running errands last night and every store was empty. No one was out. One of the cashiers told me it has been bad post Christmas but that they see a big difference since all the job cuts were announced. They said there are fewer people shopping and the people who come in are buying less.

We are all on GLP-1s and don't want anything to do with coffee anymore.

I travel all around for work and the entire metro’s Starbucks seem pretty dead.

It was a fad 20 years ago. The only successful ones were when they were coupled with a bookstore so people could read.

Nobody reads anymore, and bookstores are almost non existent with the advent of phones and tablets and everyone wanting those silly things instead of books. Consumerism and fads are fickle.

Major news outlets reporting economy beginning to tank due to tariffs and too much uncertainty. I was traveling elsewhere in the country this week and saw reports on every screen in every airport, bar, etc. that was running the news, not to mention print media.

Sure, then a ghost town during lunch and dinner. May as well close at 1pm.

I’m aware. But the drive thru locations have had nobody in line multiple times in the last few weeks. I’ve never seen that before. And a brand new location seems dead pretty much all day, which is especially shocking. A new Starbucks used to be a big deal in the burbs. Now nobody cares?

lol. One $6 latte at a time… only need to do that about 10,000 times and the kiddos will have a down payment on a Beltway starter home!

Wouldn’t there still be people in lines picking up their orders?
