Right, this shouldnt even be a big deal. Or go one step further, google one of the places and read reviews and mention one of the star dishes that was really good. "Yes, we went and the green curry was amazing!" Why is OP struggling with this concept?
Uh bc it feels ridiculous to have to lie to a grown woman bc I didn’t eat at the restaurant she liked. And then I have to make sure I remember the lie for years to come…

She’s asking if I reserved at such and such a place, and when I mentioned we had made reservations at another place bc my family wanted to try it, she got upset and said we had bad taste!
Wow, she’s rude. You don’t owe her anything. I’d just ignore it and move on. Do you have to work closely with this person?

In your situation, I would avoid speaking about the trip with her. If it comes up, change the subject or find somewhere else you need to be.

This. Stop posting your meals on social media.

Anonymous wrote:OP, did you ask this person for dining recommendations? I am always baffled by the dining requests on this board. For example, “ We are touring UVA, where should we have lunch?” Come on, it’s a sandwich. Just pick a place and eat.
