Good idea. Also get tickets to tour the boats/submarine by the harbor. My kids enjoyed it more than they expected. The American Visionary Arts museum is expensive to enter, but you can go into the gift shop for free and it’s a really random/fun/eclectic shop with cheap items (totally unlike a regular museum shop)

These places aren’t cheap.

Suggestions:
-hike at Calvert Cliffs & look for fossils
-go to Bull Run or Riverbend Park & see the bluebells
-(lots of other hikes/parks are also nice this time of year)
-do one of those Pirate cruises in DC or Baltimore
-Harper’s Ferry


They sometimes do a family pass for the science museum for $100 on Groupon.

It’s not open early in the day. So annoying.

Do you have bikes? There’s a pretty awesome long flat bike path just over the Eastern Shore. Go out in the morning.

How about Annapolis or West VA day trip, or kayaking at a state or county park that you haven’t been to before?

Fun Land in Chantilly or another arcade or laser tag place. Fun Land sometimes has a family deal in Friday nights.
