No, I add it later. Orzo doesn’t freeze well.

The dimitra's dish recipe posted above looks good, but it's not Giouvetsi. Here's one that is really close to the one my family uses. It's actually pretty easy to make.

I made this exact recipe with lamb and beef. It is so delicious and easy.

It’s so much more reasonable to make it at home. Going out to eat is so pricey now. I know you did not ask for my opinion but just thought I’d put it out there.

The hard part is finding decent lamb. It seems like everything is from Australia or New Zealand and is very gamey. We gave up on lamb.
