But I’m still losing and I’m at 136 (still solidly healthy BMI for my height at 5’4”). My plan is to increase my calories upward slowly to maintenance and stay on the low-dose and then start spacing it out. It’s gonna take me a long time to go off of it, but I think that will help me. I plan to come off them and was never overweight til perimenopause and some fertility treatments ruined my metabolism. Now I’M BACK BABY!!!!

Where did you get it ? Prescription or med spa? I sound exactly like your proportions-see weight. I gained for similar reasons.

I’d really like to start. Nothing I’m doing is shedding the pounds—working out, eating relatively healthy, etc

I got it through my primary health care provider. I had to get compounding because my insurance wouldn’t cover the branded medication. It ended up being the right thing because I could move up super slowly from 2.5 to 3 to 3.5 versus 2.5 to 5 to 7.5 and so on. I had almost no side effects. You can get it from a local med spa, depending on where you are look for anywhere that has weight loss consultations in the name. Once you’re comfortable, you can buy it online from a reputable pharmacy like Hallandale. I used unique physique to place an online Hallandale order. The medication arrives cold and ready to be refrigerated with all the supplies you need. A doctor or nurse can show you how to administer it and provide ongoing support to help you during your journey. It was the best thing I could’ve done for myself and I am so grateful. I keep it a secret from people because people are so judgmental about these medications and truly I don’t know what the long-term effects will be, which is also a little bit scary, I assume I will be OK but you never know. However, I wish I could tell everybody and shout it from the rooftops, especially my friends who are still overweight that I know could benefit from this.

Thanks!

I've maintained it without issues since then. With that said, I really did my best to eat a healthy balanced diet throughout. I did not restrict carbs or sweets, but listened when my body gave any sign it might be full. Now I stop eating a bit before I'm full. Give my body time to catch up.

I've always gone to the gym, so I continued that. I think the meds gave my metabolism a hard reset. I'm very grateful.

Where did you get it? Which med?

Orderly Meds (no extra fees)
Compounded Semaglutide - from Redrock or Hallandale Pharmacy

I've been off and on Mounjaro, now Zepbound for 2 years. I immediately lose 5 lbs of water weight when on the shots and gain that 5 back when off. Other than that, I have maintained. I was 216 at the start, am now 186 and have been off for 3 months. Going back on to get the last 30 lbs off. I have heart issues and my cardiologist is my prescriber and insurance covers it.

Nope. Your body should have a natural set point that you can maintain without being nutso. If losing vanity weight means you got yourself thinner than your body's natural state, it will come back. If you truly had 15lbs to lose, just keep doing what you're doing now when you're off the medication.

This is nonsense. There is no such thing as “your body’s natural state”. It’s simple math - calories in vs calories out. If you maintain a caloric deficit when you get off the meds, you’ll continue to lose weight. If you eat in a caloric surplus, you’ll game weight. If you eat roughly what your body burns, you’ll maintain your current weight. The meds helped you eat in a deficit because you weren’t hungry. Once you’re off, it won’t be as easy to manage cravings, eat small portions, avoid high caloric foods, etc. but there’s nothing about the meds themselves that will cause you to just gain weight if you stop taking them.

This is true. I'm 56 and weigh 114. I eat two meals a day and no snacks. I have to stay at 1,000 calories a day to not gain weight. I follow a high protein low carb lifestyle.
