Keep it. Buy another if you really need it or find a good deal in the meantime, and have both.

I reluctantly decided to replace my 2014 Subaru because I’m not comfortable taking it on weekend trips because engine is starting to seep oil and it will soon need some expensive repairs.

I’m looking at cars with low financing.

The thinking of replacing a car goes back to when cars rusted easily. In the book "Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance" he wrote how motorcycles unlike cars (due to rust) could run forever. You will have some things go bad but it will be way cheaper than a new car. Go to an honest mechanic.

You sill see Hondas/Toyotas from the 1980s. Those guys look like they need a cheap daily driver/
