Funny I was doing to question how you would do that in softball. The girls who want to just play in HS/JUCO seem to be doing local tournaments while to be scouted for D1 I thought you had to travel much more widely on a “national” team. But could be wrong.

OP, what sport and age level? We recently had a player join our softball team with almost exactly the same story and it has been a really good fit so far. If your daughter is a softball player I might be able to help you out with some options, you can reach me at fled.edge1u@icloud.com.

OP here and I think my post may have been confusing. DD is not looking for more playing time or to be a star. She is a star and she plays more than or as much as everyone else on her team. DD is not looking to improve her recruiting options. On the contrary, she is less sure she wants to play D1 than she was when she was younger and no longer even 100% sure she wants to play in college. She wants to (continue to) play with girls who are good enough to go D1, but without it being the singular focus of every girl and the team at all times. She just wants to play for playing sake. For the fun and competition but not have every second of it be about college. She also does not want to be out of town every single weekend for a huge chunk of time. She does want to keep her options open but recognizes this could hurt her college options. She is okay with that. What she does not want is a team where the girls slack off, don't give 100%, miss practices, miss tournaments, etc. Sounds like that has been the experience of a few and it was frustrating and not worth it.
