I think this goes to a deeper point that lots of people thought Trump would just screw over DC and federal workers, especially the ones like FAA, TSA, and NPS that they've targeted are nationwide. This is going to be an issue across the country.
Yes agree that US air safety across the border is impacted by firing hundreds of air safety controllers.
The fired FAA workers include systems specialists, safety inspectors, maintenance mechanics, administrative staff and more.
This makes 0 sense. FAA was understaffed as it is. DOGE is out of control and shame on all the Republicans sitting silent as our country falls to pieces.
They want to privatize it and put it under Musk. This is all about Musk making money.
OMG / hope he runs a private version of FAA better than Tesla in terms of worker and driver safety.
Tesla's injury rate for factory workers has been higher than the industry average, and the company failed to report many injuries. Tesla has also been involved in more fatal accidents than other car brands.
In 2016, Tesla's Fremont plant had an injury rate of 8.1 per 100 workers, which was 31% higher than the industry average.
The Center for Investigative Reporting found that Tesla failed to report some serious injuries, which made the company's injury numbers look better than they were.
Fatal accident rates
A study by iSeeCars found that Tesla models had the highest fatal accident rates in the U.S. from 2017 to 2022.
A study by Road & Track found that Tesla vehicles have a fatal crash rate double the national average.
OSHA violations
Tesla has had three times as many OSHA violations as the 10 largest US plants combined.

They could always fly to Toronto.
Agree about Dulles although FAA is considering rerouting many flights through DCS to Dulles and Baltimore so the risks may spread out.
It is a hassle to go through Toronto as even if you just do a stop over in Canada you have to get a visa. I personally did not enjoying flying through Canada to US (Air Canada service is inconsistent and they routed us across Canada from abroad before back into US).

Putting that aside, I highly doubt I would be interested in visiting the US until some of this settles.
I overheard a number of people saying they were more nervous than usually, heck I was/am too, but duty calls.
Anonymous wrote:Nope. I care too much about my family to put them on a plane currently.

My god, listen to yourself 🙄🙄🙄🙄
What a dumb question!
What a constructive response. Are you this helpful in RL?
International family asked me as they are concerned about traveling to the US and I have no idea.
No single woman in the USA has asked me about the safety of domestic flights .if they had I would have been happy to ask on their behalf. The family member asking is a single woman BTW.
There may be different air safety rules for international compared to domestic flights.
There was No need to make this question antagonistic. If you don’t have any idea, just move along.
Ask stupid questions . . .
