I don’t buy clothes either place but where are you buying non china clothes exactly? Vintage and thrift, sure, but where else for a reasonable cost on things like leggings and undies?

Only richer people can fly now. What are you proposing? Vouchers for poor subsistence farmers in Burkina Faso so they can fly around? Is that what they would want to do with an amount of money?

I am proposing we have a tax to cover the negative externalities of flying. People then decide what they want to do with their money.

My parents live in Europe and I have aunts and cousins in Asia.

I fly once every two years in economy. No guilt.

Individual transport is far less impactful to global warming than industrial production, OP. Cheap clothing, for example.
