LMFAO, I was waiting for you to reference "the help" as in any tawdry gift brought by your guests would be promptly sent home with "the help."
My butler's pantry is used for cooking and food prep, that way we can keep the primary kitchen presentable, so I usually put the wine on the bar. No one brings beer or liquor. However, I do have one friend with impeccable taste in wine, his gift often ends up being opened at some point.
