I’m a federal contractor. We were planning to go to Europe for spring break but hadn’t purchased airfare or made any non-refundable plans yet (though we had done an extensive amount of planning). We decide to cancel both to save money and because I would feel uncomfortable as an American abroad right now.

Jobs under threat. Beach in summer not cancelled but cancelable. Any other summer and Spring Break will be planned last minute and may be regional.

Not feds. Still traveling this summer. Haven’t booked trip yet. Preparing for a great future. This country will survive.

Keeping our spring break trip with non-refundable flights and lodging paid for (visiting friends). Haven't booked anything beyond that but we usually see family in the summer so will likely still try to do that (also free lodging). Haven't paid for any camps.

Not cancelling, but possibly adding. I found tickets to EU for $540 - that's 4 planes. I want to go to my dentist and get MRI done.

Cancelled a big bucket list trip to a red state. Might book something else smaller in NE or Canada. Or not, just depends how things shake out.

Prices will come down for domestic hotels, restaurants and flights when the recessions hit.

We will just do a road trip, or something we can plan a month at most in advance.

We're not traveling for spring break. We are planning to keep our summer plans for now but could scale back if needed. We have three trips planned but only one is booked. Will definitely take the trip that's booked but we will see.

I started using YNAB in 2023. I know exactly where all of my money is going, and where I can cut if needed. I am not a fed, and as of right now, I have no real reason to think my job or my husband's job are at risk. I am proceeding apace with plans at this time.

Keeping. We have one trip planned that we’ve already promised kids in May and then some smaller ones planed as well (one of which is to visit family and another is a bike trip my son and I want to go on). None will be over the top and we will cut back in other ways.

I was planning a trip to Germany to visit friends but am too embarrassed to show my face in that country right now after the humiliating spectacle JD Vance just made of himself.
