What did Adams do? Accelerate the Turkish consulates permitting or second try st passing inspection.

Throw him the book!

I still remember the Turkish airlines counter at Ohare after Hurricane Sandy. All Newark and jfk flights canceled and Turks showed up at OrD throwing wads of cash at the airlines checkin counter to bump others off their paid flights.

Ah, emerging markets housing Russians and having no building codes for fires or earthquakes. Good stuff.

Because it’s leverage to get him to do Trump favors. The order to drop the case says it’s because Adams will help him out on immigration. The order was also to dismiss without prejudice, meaning they can re-file the case whenever they want, continuously keeping a sword over his neck if he dares to get out of line. Hochul needs to fire the guy. The fact that she hasn’t shows how democrats are bringing sticks to gunfights.

a governor cannot fire a mayor.

Karen Friedman Agnifilo, former NY state head prosecutor, told her to.

Karen is on Twitter /X for years ripping on Trump and Mayor Adams.

Good lawyers with PE husbands go in/out of public and private sector jobs all the time. And take time off to blog, raise children, volunteer, etc.

Defense attorneys are going to love throwing that back at them!

This is pretty common when a new administration comes in.

Except, as the article notes, the norm is to send letters requesting resignation. This is normal and happens with every change. However this time, Bondi/Trump sent out letters of termination. Just another childish slap in the face. Apropos for our toddler Republicans.

Trump remains angry that NY elite never accepted him. Even after becoming POTUS!! No invites. He wants to make it suffer so he’s looking for ways to make it miserable.

Everything with Trump is personal.

He did not state a reason. It seems that it was in lieu of impending firing though.
