You take the AP exam on that day. That’s why we should have fewer stupid holidays and start the school year earlier. Everything after AP exams is a waste of time. FCPS loves to waste smart kids’ time.
Next year's calendar is slated to be the LONGEST PLANNED non-year round school year that I've ever seen! August 18-June 17 because there are so many unnecessary closures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They need to just establish an absence percentage threshold (if they haven't already) for deciding when to close school.
For example, we have to close for Christmas because too many are at least nominally/secular Christians who will not be coming. Schools can't operate. If there is a decently high percentage of student/staff in FCPS that are Muslims (20%? 15%?), they should take their best guess at when Eid will be and close. This can get tricky since there isn't across the board agreement among Muslims. Some have 'Eid one day, others celebrate it the next. Same for Jews, Hindus, Jains, Bahai, Buddhists, etc.
