Why the hell would they want to come here.
Because you don’t get paid crap in europe. I’m from Germany on a work visa and make double what I would make in Germany and pay half as much in housing and have a much much better quality of life.

If you are fully employed you likely have health insurance benefits. You also seem to be well-paid and mention countries that pay much less. How will YOUR life actually improve? This makes sense for people actually deeply affected by Trump, and there are many, but all the countries you mention have their own issues, and you don't seem to have any need to move.

If you're in pharma, biotech, or life sciences it's a no-brainer to try for Basel. And the government is supportive of these companies bringing in specialized foreign talent.

There are many people considering China now. They are dumping huge amounts of money into STEM and provide table funding. Yeah, they don't have the best government either, but many are being attracted more and more by their stable funding environment and world class research that is catching up and even eclipsing the US now.

I'm just done with the USA experiment that now appears to be over. From unaffordable to healthcare to unaffordable education to now what is looking like a complete take over by Christitan nationalists who went to return the country to a low education, low information society, I think it is time to leave. Europe, Japan, Singapore,....where is a good place to look abroad for new opportunity? This is the world's chance to pickup highly trained experts from the USA with years of experience for pennies on the dollar.
I have years of experience in the drug industry dealing with development from the bench to the market. I know tons about international regs and standards. Is Switzerland a solid choice if all you can speak is English? I see Singapore uses English for business, but I've never heard of too much biotech there. UK is an obvious choice, but salaries are low and housing costs are high. Where else to pursue? I just think STEM in the US is pretty much over and the US being a world technical powerhouse is done. Countries should be trying to pickup massive talent from the US while they can. It would be massive booms for their economies.
Would love Japan too, but the language is impenetrable. I just want out.
