DC is interested in the Computer Science direction. In that case, the first track (doing Geometry HN in summer) is ideal? Algebra 2 is prerequisite to take AP Computer Sci A or Principal (forgot which one), I thought. Also, the first track allows one to take AP Stat, which seems related to CS. Maybe the grade is more important than doing the max acceleration?
Most people graduate taking Calculus in 12th grade, your child taking multi-variate will be just fine. There is no real need to take Geometry during the summer. If your kid really wants to then go for it but it is not necessary. AP Stats tends to be the senior math class for kids who don’t want to take Calculus.
For advanced students that do at least calc BC, AP Statistics is an additional course they take on the side somewhere along the way. Easy AP, why not!

Of all the math courses, geometry is the best to take during summer, where as Algebra 1 and 2 are best for year long. According to FCPS, Geometry is the single most popular summer course taken by students.
