Where besides Rome for a first-time Italy visitor?

Rome is so much fun! And there is beauty everywhere.

Yes, the graffiti is gross, but you hardly notice it when soaking in the history, architecture, and amazing food.

You need to go several blocks off the beaten path to find good restaurants.

But I love everywhere I’ve been in Italy. Each city/town has its own charm.

What neighborhood are you staying in? If you are staying near termini ..... yeah....

like in any big city people aren't super bubbly - are people in nyc friendly?

Rome is my favorite city in the world. There is magic and romance in knowing people have walked the streets of the city for 2700 years. I find it amazing to see structures that have been there 1000+ years longer than our country even existed.

Rome has some amazing restaurants- I suspect you’re sticking to tourist spots.
