Do your essays, ECs, etc. show that you have grown personally? UVA has a page on their website that literally tells you what they want from a competitive applicant. I think if you go back and reread what you've submitted and there isn't a human feel to your application - just awards and stats than that might be where you fall short. I think your LOR should also be able to highlight that story as well. Just my opinion.
