People congress will only act when their phones ring off the hook from constituents and donors. Look at how quickly the Trump admin backed off the federal grant freeze. It wasn’t congress stepping up to do what is right for democracy, the law and the country. Hell no. It was soccer moms in swing states pooping their pants that college loans and grants were gone and boomers freaked out about Medicaid and services.

The problem is, the access being commandeered impacts ALL banks, ALL brokerage accounts, ALL federal distributions. So basically, Elon would be able to shut down the US money and baking system including each of our personal, retirement, business and brokerage accounts.

Though I would argue that Trump and Hegseth and Duffy need to focus on air safety. But the investigation will take time.

That’s ridiculous. Congress is a co-equal branch of government. And the first among equals. I don’t disagree that they are feckless. But at a certain point primarying will be beside the point.
