I am nit familiar with the VB ponte pants so can’t compare, but my experience with Quince (I own a lot) is that while the products are nice and priced well, compared to the more expensive non-quince versions of the products, the quince ones won’t hold up as well (will pill, show wear, etc), the cut won’t be quite as good, and often the colors are limited (which is irrelevant for black pants of course). For example, it would not surprise me if quince ponte pabts lose their stretch/shape faster than the VB ones, both on a daily wear and cumulative basis.

Often these trade offs are worth it for the better price, but not always.
