Yes. Talk with your child, write down for your own record exactly what they tell you the teacher is saying. Then talk with the teacher: "I was concerned that my child said they you said x, y, and z, but I know they might have misunderstood or not remembered correctly, so I wanted to check to see if that was an accurate description of what you said." Then talk to the principal if the response is unsatisfactory.


Agree. Make sure you are clear that the kid may have misinterpreted things and if your kid did maybe others were confused as well.
