Exactly like you, I started at 5'7 and 145 which is not a happy weight for me. Now down to 136 and feel so much better. The only reason I'm having success is that this med has eliminated or greatly dulled the feeling of hunger, which I have such a torturous time fending off.

How did you get the meds? I would do this in a heartbeat if I could get them. Op here

I got them from a Medspa and was very happy that they gave them to me, almost no questions asked, even though I was a normal BMI. It has truly been life changing for me. I recently switched to Fifty410 because the Medspa was charging much more. It was very easy. I filled out an intake form and admittedly, I fudged my weight numbers to get my BMI up to 27. I had to scan in my driver's license and worried that I might be denied based on the photo showing me not overweight, but I received a prescription for a very reasonable price and it's on its way to me.

I am glad I started with the Medspa because they really filled me with confidence that this could work for me (I have struggled with binge eating and just really having a hard time dropping weight - I cannot STAND to be hungry). They gave me the injections, too. I am not in the DC area or I would tell you the name of the Medspa, but it's a pretty common thing for Medspas to be into these days so I'm sure you can find a place near you. Or, you could just begin with an online pharmacy like I am doing now.

My original plan was to take the meds until I dropped the 15 pounds I wanted to lose, but now that I have been on them for nearly a month, it feels so life changing and freeing that I may stay on a very low dose indefinitely. It's really taken away my obsession with food and eating and this has been a game changer for me.

A protein shake at dinner doesn't have fiber and is a flash in the oan so to speak. Try vegetables and protein.
Also ime weight loss requires accepting that an empty stomach does not mean I get to eat. I get used to it.

Same. I will say my breakfast and lunch tend to be light, but I snack if I feel hungry during the day -- nuts, cheese, veggies and hummus, something filling. Dinner is generally pretty satisfying because I'm usually very hungry post-workout.

I'm the PP who eats like a normal person instead of like an almond mom. My breakfast is usually 2% plain greek yogurt with fresh berries and 1/4 cup of grapenuts or granola and a banana. Sometimes oatmeal if I have time to make it.

Lunch could be leftovers, eggs and turkey sausage, a turkey burger, a big salad with grilled chicken. I like Kind bars, fruit, cottage cheese, more yogurt, nuts, peanut butter from a spoon, or Lara bars for snacks. ( I eat half a bag of pita chips on occasion).

Dinner is a big portion of whatever DH cooks. I think I had half a pound of shawarma chicken last night with pita and sauces. I had ice cream for dessert.

I have never had a protein shake. I like food.

I would be starving if I only had a protein shake for dinner.

You need to eat. Actual food.

I weigh around 120 and am not trying to lose. I like eating and don't like being hungry so I will never be super slender. (I'm 5'4, over 50, in better shape than i was 5 years ago). I certainly know women my age who eat no breakfast, no snacks, no carbs, a salad for lunch and a small dinner. I would kill someone, lol.

I hate being hungry and try to avoid that feeling. I get very irritable when hungry or tired so it's a mental health thing for me.

I can't sleep if I have any sort of hunger feelings so this is not my goal. I have always had a small snack right before bed. Or a big one.

Or she's a liar. If I ate like this I would weight 150. I work put 1-2 hours a day and am similar to what she described - coffee for breakfast, small lunch, small dinner, no snacks. I'm 5'2" and 130, muscular, not fat, but definitely not slim. I want to be slim.

Or she just doesn’t eat a lot. Breakfast for her may mean a 150 calorie cup of yogurt and black coffee. Lunch a small
Amount that fills her up (but wouldn’t fill
Me up!)

That’s what I thought too. The trouble is that the posts are really vague. We have no idea how much either PP eats. Most people overestimate the effect of working out vs diet. We have no idea how these PPs are spending their 1-2 (!!) hours per day working out.

The goal should be to eat enough nutrient-dense calories during the day, and to not eat anything at dinner that will cause a spike in hunger (ie sugar). The first couple weeks were hard for me, but I feel like it was just 50% habit and 50% not eating the right things at dinner. An unintended benefit of not eating before bed is that I sleep much better and wake up feeling much more refreshed.

No. You need to eat a little more at dinner.

Yes, it sounds like you are not eating enough for your final meal of the day. Cutting off at around 6:30 is good, but you need a normal size meal, not super small or just a protein shake. Also maybe you need to eat before 10 am.
