I definitely did not have kids so I could go get drunk with a bunch of strangers at my child's college.

We did this in the 90s. My parents came for a brunch. It was fun.

My sorority did not have this. However, I would not overthink it. It is very likely a day where you get to tour the house, have lunch or tea, and my guess is that almost all the moms go or at least all the new member moms. And, I would not assume there would be alcohol.

Well I didn’t have kids so I could go to frat parties as a 53yo! What a nasty comment.

Who said you have to go to a frat party?

It would be out of my comfort zone as well but I would still go and support my daughter. It’s just 48 hours. You got this!

Ours was a parents' weekend and was fine. Brunch at the house, and I loved having my parents come and meet my friends. Very low-key and nice.

You won’t embarrass her, I think the parents that go back and act like they are 19 again at the Greek houses are for more cringey.

A friend of mine posted her daughter's sorority moms' weekend pictures on FB and wow... so cringeworthy.

My sorority did this. It was some sort of activity Saturday (I remember painting wine glasses one year) and then Sunday brunch. It will be fine!

When I was in a sorority, mother’s weekend consisted of a catered brunch and a tour of the house. There was also some presentation and gifts from the daughter to the mother (flowers? A pin?).

It was relaxed.
