How long can Israel receive billions while NC and California beg for scraps?

I mean, it's true though. Should we be the most powerful nation in the world? Doesn't matter. We won't be.

No we don’t need to be the most powerful nation in the world.

Democrats love to say that the US is a big bully, full of white oppressors. And now we won’t be. The US never colonized any African nation, we don’t owe them anything.

You are on the late train. China has already strategically maneuvered into countries with abundant natural resources in Africa. Chinese aid is linked with China’s investment, trade, and foreign policy objectives.

The Chinese enterprises have tactically funded and constructed, expanded, or refurbished a minimum of 24 presidential or prime ministerial residences or offices; at least 26 parliamentary buildings or offices; no fewer than 32 military or police facilities; at least 19 foreign affairs ministry offices; and a minimum of 14 critical intra-governmental telecommunications networks.

China’s has a monopoly over mining in Africa’s copper belt (the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia), and its substantive recent investments into lithium production in Zimbabwe, which holds Africa’s largest reserves of lithium. These investments allow China to dictate the global supply chain for renewable batteries and electric vehicles (EVs).

And put a president in office in US

I just had my entire NGO’s work stopped. All around the world, hundreds of people, stopped. I will spend next week laying them all off, I think. What else can I do? And then when the pause is lifted will I even have an organization to reboot? We may be operationally dead by then. Which, since we are a bunch of woke liberals I suppose is the point.

That leaves aside the impacts (and huge waste) of putting health programming on ice for weeks or months. Infectious disease doesn’t take a break. Death in childbirth doesn’t take a break.

It was in Project 2025. Not a surprise. If it doesn’t have a direct impact on the USA, they Don’t CARE

That is the vast majority of aid. Well Israel gave Trump 100 million this election cycle and Trump got 10 million in cash from Egypt.

Peanuts for what they will and have received in return

Sadly, the point is to break your organization. Once broken, there is no one to give money to and no program people to carry out programs. And at the same time, USAID staff will be laid off (a lot of their work happens with civil service except, PSCs or contractor organizations, which will also be fired), so there will be fewer people to conceptualize programming and write contracts and monitor outcomes and spending.

Please partner with news organizations to get the story out about how this affects programs on the ground & how that diminishes US power and influence around the world and diminishes US business. (Because Americans don’t seem to care that the US saved starving people nor know that much of our “aid” actually serves the domestic US interests - like food aid comes from farmers in Iowa and military aid means US weapons factories are building and employing and paying taxes).

Couldn't even tell what's going on on their own streets.

It’s sad.
I assume new infections will spread somewhere else and come here without any warning.

It's horrific. Since we know who were most affected during pandemic and as is true in health data, it's the population he doesn't give a pos about.

No they have not done it quietly. While most Americans were too busy trying to keep up with the Kardashians (remember that decade?) and being distracted by TikTok for the last, China has already done much around the world. US was playing catch up. they sent in Dr. Biden to make deals. You know Dr. Jill Biden who was President for the last four years, our country's second woman President (after HRC was co-President in '92).
