live in Zurich- you will not stand out but most people throw an actual wool coat on top for some polish and have the loveliest, smooth shiny blonde ponytails. glass hair ir whatever or pixies. the older people are very european and stylish but a lot of people are in on cloud sneakers and a lot of 30 somethings in leggings. went to paris and also here there are a lot wearing the huge straight jeans or cargos with crop tops, hoodies with woolen coats and OC or sambas. zurich is the least stylish place on your list though!

If you're going on all day walking tours in cold, damp weather, what would be more practical than fleece lined leggings, with a warm athletic jacket or cashmere sweater under a puffer coat. It's too much luggage to pack enough wool pants. I guess you could wear fleece tights under jeans if you have the height for wide legs. The bottom line for me in any country is comfort as long as it doesn't prohibit entry or offend religious norms. After all, the point is that we appreciate and see all the country/city has to offer. And, to be in a good mood. That's a lot easier if you're comfortable.

French person here. You wear hiking clothes to hike. If you have lunch on the trail, then there will be plenty of hikers like you, wearing similar clothes. But you don't wear yoga pants to go to a museum.

I was in London last spring and I noticed many women were wearing wide-leg jeans. Some of them were cargo-style as well.
