If you have peruvian chicken for dinner then make a peruvian dessert. A simple peruvian rice pudding makes more sense and is very elegant.

Tatte emailed me earlier this week that they have a new pear tarte tatin!!! Our family absolutely LOVES their individual pear tarts and - no lie - that email made me think:
I must plan a dinner party so that I may serve that new Tatte pear tarte tatin!

Tatte makes me smile.

Fruit tart from Wegmans, it’s tasty and also look fancy.

Peruvian chicken with appropriate sides and sauces. In the DMV this isn’t a biggie. But, we no longer live in the DMV and it’s nowhere to be found. I have a craving.

Churros and warm chocolate sauce?

Go to Paris baguette or a different Korean bakery and buy a cake - light, not too sweet, and so pretty.

A snow theme. Individual white chocolate mousse cups (very easy to make), with whipped cream and "sparkle sugar" (find on amazon or local grocery) on top.

I would bake or buy Alfajores because I have a weird hang up about my food matching.

If you want to stick to something Peruvian, try Mazamorra morada (I’d 100% make chicha morada as a drink; it’s incredibly good). Or something like flan if folks are less adventurous.

Panna cotta, flan, or chocolate mouse are all good desserts for dinner parties. Cake is too heavy IMO
