Club soccer is never designed to teach basic skills, all these programs are setup to fill in that gap.

Club neutral means all clubs are welcome, no clubs are advocated for by the staff or favored, and likely that no kit for youth clubs are allowed.

Even in shooting and finishing there is always a 1v1 or 2v2 mini game component where someone is defending. Don't go based on what is listed on the website.

It's what your kid makes of it, but maybe for your DC the pool was weak, for my kid when we did it for a couple years at U10-11 there was a strong pool of kids making it worth it.

My kid has tried different soccer clinic programs, and I find HP to be the best one so far. The kids-to-coach ratio is good, there are plenty of touches, the coaches know your child, and the owner is on point, if he sees something wrong, he steps in immediately to guide the coach. I’ve been training here for over three years and still think this place is worth every penny.

Are there some truths to the ownership? Absolutely. I think anybody should find some conflict of interest but the reality is and especially around here, there are constantly conflicts of interest when it comes to the youth soccer landscape here.

It is a really good program for really young players, basically anything before U9, say what you will about ODP but D-ODP is a great option for extra touches from U9-U11 and much cheaper than HP.

You will end up in a class with 17 other kids - going one by one around cones and shooting into a goal. Lots of standing time. We have done this in the summer and the winter. It's always the same. Oh - you are a defender? Start shooting.
