I am also very sensitive to noise and don't go to concerts because they're too loud for me. When music becomes too loud, it goes from music to just noise to my ear. But I listen to music all the time - it's always playing at home, and I listen at a comfortable volume when doing errands.
I agree. My child is like this also and I used to try and force her to try things with earplugs etc but she usually ended up crying

Iwould just go to the show without the kid. If things become more manageable when older then he can go then. It's not the end of the world for a 10yo yo not see a broadway show. In fact. Most 10yos in the world haven't.
