The J6 committee pardon provides Trump with all the political cover he needs to pardon all the J6 prisoners. I mean, he was going to do that anyway, but now Biden has created the impression that some criminal behavior may have occurred at the committee like burying evidence. It depends on whether you want to take a gamble on how much Trump says is hot air, and how much either he or his minions are going to try to act on the BS rantings on retribution. These three are three people who did their jobs faithfully - and some of them I don’t actually like - and know-nothings like some who commented above would be happy if these people were investigated again and again, especially if some of the nominees get into power.

If I were these three, I’m not sure I would accept any pardon, but lately you cannot rely upon the truth and upholding the principles of law and the Constitution to have the right things happen.

Where does the constitution say you can pardon someone who hasn’t even been convicted? Just because it’s been done before doesn’t mean it has withstood a court challenge.

Pardons are for leniency and a statement against what the executive thinks was an unfair trial or conviction. Not for protecting political allies from investigation or trial in the first place.

+1 he is trying to stop a public servant witch hunt and locking up people who were just trying to do their jobs.

What about the republican staffers who truthfully testified to what they witnessed on January 6? I’m concerned for them.
