I spent a couple of days in London last summer and decided this was it for me. Expensive, crowded, and not particularly pleasant. Food and hotels were pretty bad and overpriced.
Vastly preferred Paris, Prague, Rome, Lisbon, etc.

Which airline are you flying? Could also fly Milan, then explore Dolomites, Venice, Tuscany, back from Rome.

London. Best distance from here and tremendous city.

Rome or London. Dublin is meh in my imo.

You could also train from Frankfurt to Copenhagen which would of course take longer (8-9 hours versus a 1 hour flight) but might be a fun experience for your kids. You could also stop over for a night or two in Hamburg, which is a fun city, to break the journey up.

Why not just just fly to London or Frankfurt on your miles, maybe spend a day or two there and then hop a cheap flight from there to Copenhagen and spend the bulk of your vacation in Denmark if that’s actually your preferred destination?

Rome is much cheaper than London for accommodation and restaurants. Italian restaurants are extremely kid friendly. Pasta! Pizza! Ice cream!

London is vastly more expensive. However, London has a superb public transportation system between the underground and buses and your kids may enjoy that. In Rome we always walked/took cabs as it was tricky figuring out buses and the metro isn't always convenient.

I always loved going to London and it does have superb museums and a huge range of different kinds of museums that offered a variety of sightseeing you rarely get in other places, but Rome is so phenomenal both for classical and Baroque Rome. I would just go to Rome for the full five days.

I have lived near Frankfurt and London, and visited Rome. Rome would actually be my top choice (but only in fall), Frankfurt second, London third, Dublin fourth.

If you go to Frankfurt, head south and west, as the above poster mentioned. Rheinland Pfalz, Saarland, and the Alsace are all beautiful in the summer. Personally, that and Rome will feel head and shoulders above London and Dublin.

Lots of good advice here. I've been to all four. I'd vote for Rome, then London, then Dublin, then Frankfurt.

Just adding as someone who unexpectedly had two free days in Frankfurt: As an adult who loves museums and was traveling without kids, I loved it. SO MANY GREAT MUSEUMS. I would not plan it as a destination in its own right, but if I had a layover there and had a day to spend with kids, I'd go to the zoo, which is a really nice experience and right in the city.
