Our new home has a MBR on the ground floor. Once our teens go upstairs they rarely come down so the problem has been solved. It’s been very nice and our sex life has definitely improved.

Morning sex or when they are both out in the evenings.

Our teens are easy compared to when they were toddlers when they could show up at any time of night or early morning. But even then we were able to find a way.

NO, trollollollio, that is not at all how it works.

With two very busy careers, when the stars align and we are both in the mood we don’t worry about our teens. If we start in the shower we don’t worry about the noise. Otherwise we just keep the noise down.

Teens aren’t stupid! If you’re a happy couple they know what’s going on. Be discreet but don’t hide out in the basement.

Our kids are much older now and a few years ago my daughter said that when our bedroom door was closed a couple of times a week she was pretty sure what was going on. As empty nesters it’s nice not to have to close the door or keep the noise down.

We once spent an entire summer on a sailboat with two teens. There was no where to go when anchored offshore so when they would finally fall asleep we’d go up on deck and have sex. Often there were other boats 50 feet away but that didn’t stop us and no one ever honked a horn. I miss that boat!

WFH DH and I work part time out of the home. Weekdays that I am not working. Weekends/summer, morning before the two teens get up. One would sleep until noon if we let her. The other one is an easier riser but still not until 9ish.

While all our bedrooms are on the second floor we have two flights of stairs so the kids use the second one so they are not passing our room when we are in bed with the door closed. Solid wood doors help and we do our best to keep the noise down. They know we have a very loving marriage so I just assume they know we are having sex. We never let having teens around be an excuse.

Basement guest room or WFH time

We just lock our door and try not to make too much noise? The bigger issue is the dog, if he is locked out he scratches at our door
