Moccamaster is all plastic. How much of that leaches into the coffee?

Anyone here have a single-cup Moccamaster? Amazon reviews aren't as good as for the multi-cup models.

Our old coffee maker broke and I am eying the Moccamaster. Spouse thinks it is ridiculously expensive. Do you think it’s worth the price? I am a coffee addict and fiend…

NP. Best, hottest drip coffee I have ever made at home. I love love love mine.

I learned about the Technivorm Moccamaster from others on this forum. Got one about 5-6 years ago and it is amazing. When my son moved away, he asked for one as a housewarming present because he said "I can't stand paying $5 for coffee when I can make better at home." The Moccamaster is one of those little things that make everyday life better.

I have a Bonavita and my son has a Moccamaster. Both are SCCA-certified and both make equally good coffee, with any variance almost certainly due to differences in bean freshness, type, roast, and grind. The Moccasmaster has a significantly larger footprint.

You can safely choose by price, features, and appearance once you have narrowed your choices down to SCCA-approved models. No one of them is likely to make perceptibly better or worse coffee than any other, variables in the beans aside.

We have the ninja coffee maker that brews a pot and takes keurig pods. We mostly use the pot and it makes pretty good coffee.

PP that you quoted. YES. I am obsessed with coffee and already had like 6 different coffee makers, but I had my eye on the Moccamaster forever. It's been worth it. I grabbed one on Prime Day a year or two back which shaved a bit off the price.
