VDOT is responsible for plowing interstates and state maintained roads. neighborhood roads are the responsibility of the county and/or HOAs (if applicable). So call your elected county officials to complain that your neighborhood hasn't been cleared.

VDOt said that they basically had to start over with the lull in the snow and then another 1-3 inches. So they plowed the main roads and then had to go back a few hours later and replow, so they are behind.

Kirby Rd was done multiple times over, but our neighborhood off of Kirby looks like Siberia. Just went outside and now the slight melt has turned to ice. The never plowed street has a few tracks in it because a couple of 4x4 vehicles traversed it today, but not many. There are lots of walkers to and from the middle school and high school who would have to walk through snow because nothing is cleaned up.

+1 someone should hand the truck plow guy a school bus route map and have him get that done.

NP, I live right near Mclean HS, (22101) none of the side streets have been plowed. Yes cars have started driving on them…but they were literally not plowed. We saw one truck go down our steer yesterday with the plow in the air. Yet the map says our neighborhood has been serviced. I get why OP is wondering when and where do we complain.

I live across Franklin Sherman ES (22101) and the road looks clean since this morning.

i. In 22101 and our neighborhood had a plow about midway through the storm. It’s passable now.

Borrow someone's rear wheel drive so the kid can learn how to do a proper donut...

What? I’m not that poster but this is a safety issue. Our road is a mess. If I had little kids, I would be worry cars would be sliding and hitting them. Now we all have to get to work, except my youngest teen who is enjoying the snow days.

Check this map and see if your neighborhood is marked complete. If it is not, then you need to wait. If it marked finished and not done then it is time to complain. Also live in 22101 just south of Dolley Madison. We were plowed yesterday but the roads look fairly icy. I’ve seen lots of big 4WD or AWDs on the neighborhood streets today but not smaller cars.
