I understand these countries are very expensive to visit, so I'm not yet 100% in. But weather and activity-wise, they seem to be good options.Anonymous wrote:With that amount of time, Europe would be a great choice. In August, stick to the Northern European countries or you’ll be miserable. I went to Norway last August/September and it was amazing. You could kayak the fjords or do a zodiac boat tour, hiking, zip lining…Maybe combine Norway with Denmark? I only passed through Copenhagen on the way to Norway, but I’ve read about how Denmark is fun for kids (and if they like Legos, that’s where they were invented!).
Ireland is wonderful — DH and I went there 5 years ago and kept thinking that DS would have loved it too. Castles, sheep, friendly people…You could combine with a trip to Scotland.
Europe (especially Northern Europe) is so safe — safer than the U.S. — I wouldn’t give it a second thought.
