Listserves like this and Reddit for sure can foster discussions but people who can't just text friends about nothing important or interesting are too lazy to be mine. I mean how many close friends do you really have in this world?
Other than specific platforms like go fund me or meetup and even LinkedIn, you just shouldn't need all this noise. It's too bad we can't go back and highlight the value of personal relationship development.
Agree with this. I've been way happier cutting down on social media time.
Relatedly, we canceled Amazon, and it's been really enjoyable shopping in store and much easier to not spend mindlessly.
This whole thing may turn out to be quite beneficial in the end.

Facebook keeps the accounts and updates it regularly.
You can have a private phone number that you don't give Facebook. But if someone else on Facebook has that number in their contacts, then Facebook will put it in your shadow account.
You don't even need a Facebook account for this to happen.
