I didn't get it until I completely stopped breastfeeding. With my older kid, that was at 2 and I stopped specifically because I wanted to conceive, and did so quickly.

I have a close relative who started very quickly, while her daughter was tiny and still 100% breastfed, so I'm not saying my experience was the only norm, although my doctor assured me it was within the range of normal.

6 weeks from birth both times, and I was EBF. I now am in Peri and bleed more than not, with a Mirena. I have PCOS and fibroids, though.

6 weeks after I fully stopped breastfeeding each kid. Weaned first at 9.5 months and got period at 9 months. Weaned second kid at 14 month and got period at 15.5. For kid #2, we went own to twice a day at a year but it still took fully weaning.

I have heard many people say they did not get a period until fully weaned.

Oh, and I had night weaned for both, so wasn't nursing/pumping from 11pm to 7am. Made no difference.

Same. But for me it was 4 weeks after fully weaning. Same for both kids. But every woman is different. A good friend got pregnant while still nursing a 7 month old.

Exactly one month after fully weaning my first DD, which was 10 months post-partum.

12 weeks after delivery of my 2nd DD. I was combo feeding at the time (I struggled with supply with her), but she was nursing probably 3 or 4 times a day at that point. I was shocked it came back so much earlier the second time around!

Same. I could tell I was ovulating even before my period came. Libido returned full-scale.

This kid turned seven weeks today and still nothing, so: fingers crossed!

i got mine around 9/10 months... i remember seeing my OB for an annual exam shortly after mine turned 1 and she told me i wouldn't likely ovulate until i weaned ( I had 4 medicated iui to have my first as i don't ovulate naturally...) and so i rushed to wean very quickly, caused myself mastitis, and then realized 1 week later i was actually already pregnant... i sadly miscarried that kid but don't feel the rush to urgently wean! even for someone like me that doesn't ovulate regularly.

i did eventually need ivf but was glad to have exclusively nursed for 13 months

I took a pregnancy test just now, and it was negative. I plan to gradually start weaning after DC's first birthday so I no longer have to pump at work. If I need to totally wean to start ovulating again, I will cross that bridge in the coming months...

I night weaned at a little younger and I just sent my husband in but also just let my son fuss a little until he went. Night weaning does help you get your sanity back, he's definitely big enough now he doesn't need to eat at night.
