I agree. About a decade ago I was at a stoplight and the car next to me still had at least a foot of snow on their roof. I actually rolled down my window, got the couple's attention, and lectured them.
Now, I'd actually be afraid to do that because you never know when someone will just pull out a gun and shoot you.

Yeah, it's more about the fact that I've wised up in the last 10 years, not that road rage wasn't a thing back then.

This will be relatively light snow (as opposed to our usual concrete) so it'll be easy to shovel.

No, not OP. I grew up in the north and we had this hardcore drilled into us in driver's Ed. In the state I grew up in you could get ticketed.

I bet where you're from people also are capable of driving in snow and go about their business in all weather. Most people here will hunker down and stay off the roads until they absolutely must go out. Like the sky fell. So there's that, at least.

We have people in the dmv from all over the country and the world. Some may be experiencing snow for the first time. Think.

I mean I've seen people here with inches of snow on top of their cars driving on the beltway.

If you're not used to this A) you come to any type of sudden stop and that stuff can slide right down onto your windshield and you'll be unable to see B) if it's been icing or it's been melting and refreezing you can have some serious chunks of ice on top of your car that can dislodge while you're driving. You having your car's heater on is going to heat your roof slightly and stuff will dislodge.

So for your safety and the safety of others, clear your roof. Stay back from anyone who hasn't cleared theirs and give semis in particular a wide berth on highways.

I park in a garage and don’t go anywhere until the roads are totally clear and all the idiot early drivers have gone out and let the snow melt/fly off their cars.
