I agree. About a decade ago I was at a stoplight and the car next to me still had at least a foot of snow on their roof. I actually rolled down my window, got the couple's attention, and lectured them.
Now, I'd actually be afraid to do that because you never know when someone will just pull out a gun and shoot you.
I wouldn't have done that 20 years ago...

No, not OP. I grew up in the north and we had this hardcore drilled into us in driver's Ed. In the state I grew up in you could get ticketed.
I bet where you're from people also are capable of driving in snow and go about their business in all weather. Most people here will hunker down and stay off the roads until they absolutely must go out. Like the sky fell. So there's that, at least.
We have people in the dmv from all over the country and the world. Some may be experiencing snow for the first time. Think.
