I just got back from skiing and took 3 coats- my ski jacket, a Patagonia equivalent puffer (Stio brand) for non ski activities, and a long down coat for evenings when it was very cold. Different coats for different purposes.

Patagonia sells excellent value for money clothes with a lifetime warranty and a greater commitment to environmental protection than any other clothing brand I know. Other than the VC bros (who are all about signaling in their jobs) adopting it as their darling brand, what’s the problem?
